Paper and cardboard can be burnt easily but I would not recommend burning plastic and obviously cans and glass will not burn.

Many people have road side collection which means every fortnight a bin-man will collection your recycle from the side of the road. If this is on offer to your area I would take this opportunity to help the environment. You will be provided with separate boxes to divide the cans, glass, cardboard, paper and plastic. Take note that in many areas you will be fined if you do not precipitate in helping the environment and recycling your household rubbish.
